Brownells has paired together the Heckler & Koch 416/MR556 Free Float Picatinny Handguards with a crucial piece when installing on your own rifle, the Handguard Retaining Screw.

In recent years, the Heckler & Koch 416 has seen an increase in popularity, thanks to its adoption by many military units, including a version adopted by the U.S. Marine Corps as the M27 IAR. Now, fans of the 416 can begin adding actual, factory-made components to their repro build with these Heckler & Koch 416/MR556 Free-Float Handguards.

These Heckler & Koch 416/MR556 Free-Float Handguards are the genuine article, sourced from stocks of like-new surplus and featuring the standard Picatinny attachment rails located around the circumference of the fore-end.

Since these Heckler & Koch 416/MR556 Free-Float Handguards are sourced from actual H&K stock, there will likely be abrasions and blemishes resulting from disassembly, as well as slight differences in color, due to variances in the anodizing process. The handguards do not include a barrel nut, rail-system screw or any other attachment hardware.

Note: Due to anodizing some of the items listed as black may have more of a grey hue to them.
