In designing the Area 419 Remington 700 Short Action Scope Rail, they improved the design to meet their needs. The Area 419 Remington 700 Short Action Scope Rail features all radiused edges, so it won't snag on any area. Each slot features a radiused edge, and the corners of the lugs are also machined to avoid any kind of catching. The base features machined recoil lugs that prevent any chance of the rail moving during recoil. The attachment areas are machined to the exact specifications of a Remington 700 receiver for a perfect fit, and the unit features a unique ejection-port cut that facilitates seamless operation.

Each Area 419 Remington 700 Short Action Scope Rail can be had in two configurations: Full Slotted and ARC Top. Full Slotted rails enable use with all standard Picatinny scope mounts, while the ARC is a proprietary Area 419 design that features enhanced aesthetics but is not compatible with Spuhr or MPA mounts.
